Poker Black Friday Revolutionized Online Gambling

Sunday, September 25th, 2011

There are many things that happen in the world of poker that changes the way that we look at the games together with the way that we play in the games. This happens every now and then and we can’t stop the natural process that happens but there are also some events that can cause this to happen. One such event which has made us think in another way about some gambling websites online includes the Poker Black Friday. This was an extensive event that happened that made many people think differently about playing poker online in addition to making them truly scared to participate in certain events.

Eventhough it was not something that was done incorrectly or was considered illegal, it has brought down several of the site gambling businesses. Poker Black Friday consisted of Department of Justice’s seizure on many gambling sites along with US poker sites. They investigated these organizations because they supposedly were breaking laws when running their web sites. There have been a few seizures and some companies brought up on charges. The Black Friday is generating a revolution in poker websites and will continue to do so until the running gambling websites meets the justice requirements. They would not stop until they see that all of those gambling websites follow the laws.

Despite the fact that these seizures have happened there is still a way for those people to play poker online. In order for them to play the safe way and not to see their favorite websites being shut down they would need to make sure that they find a website that follows the Department of Justices regulations. By finding a website that follows these regulations a person would be able to enjoy the experience of playing poker online.

When a person is trying to obtain the perfect website online to gamble then they would want to make sure that they do their proper research to be able to find a website that is legal to play at. A person would not want to deposit money on a website just to have it taken away from them when the website shuts down. When researching a website you need to ensure that under your state and country laws against gambling on the internet they should want to make sure that they are following the proper rules. If online gambling is not allowed in that area when money is exchanged on the internet then you would not want to sign up for a website that allows that. People make money online by gambling but in the end they would need to make sure that they are following the proper regulations. There are numerous web portals that have done this work for you. They provide lists of US poker sites and what areas they accept players from. Most of these will even have reviews of the poker sites to show how reliable they are and the deposit and withdraw methods and alot more. Even with these sites, an individual should be sure that they adhere to all the rules and the regulations.

Poker Black Friday may have revolutionized the way of gambling online but it also has shown us that there have been some companies in which haven’t been following all the proper regulations. Poker Black Friday should open their eyes in order to change their internet sites to fit the regulations of the Department of Justice.

Improve Your Approach In Playing Poker Online And Improve Your Chances Of Winning.

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

Poker is identified by many as a game that requires a lot of luck however it is obvious that winning at poker actually combines both luck and a very high level of playing skill. When you are able to successfully read the cards of your competition and can do correct guesses is far indeed from luck. Online poker in the U.S. is rapidly becoming a very popular online game amongst many internet gambling games. This is partially due to high-stakes televised poker tournaments.

Another is that many know the fact that this is a card game which may be won if you develop the proper methods and strategies. This means, skillful play adds a lot to winning chips at internet poker

Skill, when it comes to internet poker, plays a major part than luck. As luck decides which cards are dealt to you, skill and know-how are in command as to how you “play” the game. A skillful player will always finds a way in order to effectively come out of the game ahead.

Discipline

All skills and strategies in internet poker are very much centered on your discipline as a player.

You should have that self discipline to wait until you get that right option, good hand, good game etc.

Discipline suggests that you must never play in areas where you are short of edge, avoid participating in hands which will result in trouble and that you wisely and expertly control your money and play only with money that you can afford to lose as well as learn from all your mistakes.

Furthermore, you need to have the discipline to control your feelings always and never “go on tilt”.

Observation

Keep in mind that you will uncover a lot when you study your opponents regularly. Observe closely how each opposition plays their “hand” then use that observation against them. Listen to their comments. Many poker players will usually tell you the kind of “hand” they threw or their purpose as to why they “played a hand” that way.

As a result, each time you play a “hand” with them then you can determine their bets, checks, raises and calls mean.

But also, pay attention and be aware of your game and consider your table image always. This is because just like you are constantly searching for “tells” in your game opponents, you have to look for “tells” that you may be providing to your opponents. If you notice one in your competition, also consider if you are or not showing that same tell.

Changing tactics

A great poker player should be unpredictable, meaning you are capable of changing your tactics; how you do this is very much reliant to your “table image” as well as your opponent’s “table image”.

For instance, when throughout your many poker games you have never been caught bluffing, then you have a significant bluff edge. On the other hand, when you have always been bluffing and playing loose, then even if you are not bluffing, there is a big likelihood of getting paid when you are already in fact, holding a “good hand”.

The tactics here is that if your opponents play tight, then play looser; when they play loose, tighten your game up

Be a humble winner and a graceful loser

Just keep in mind that in gambling, you do not win all the time and you do not lose all the time. As they say, sometimes when on top of your skills more luck is on your side, then you win. So just enjoy the game above all. There will always be another day that could bring you a different kind of luck.

Deception is extremely important since this will make you “less predictable”.

Poker has come to be one of the best games in the world, thus deserving an all-star event to determine the best player. The World Series Of Poker, or World Series Of Poker for short, has set up this tournament with every intention of granting one million dollars to the winner of the 2010 World Series Of Poker TOC; being held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in stunning Las Vegas, Nevada, during the 41st Annual World Series Of Poker.

At a press conference, HIE Vice President Ty Stewart expressed his happiness of their ability to make a revamped poker game that could incorporate millions of fans around the world. He went on to explain that the opinions of several players have helped the idea evolve. He, as well as fans and players, hope that the tournament will be here for good.

Only 27 participants will play in the freeroll poker invitational, and seven of them will be dropped after the public votes on their favorite. Voting opened March 15, 2010 and continues until June 15, 2010 precisely at midnight. To qualify, each player must be a WSOP bracelet-holder. Any living bracelet-holder is eligible, and currently there are 521 players with eligibility. With three positions already guaranteed because previous WSOP TOC winners receive automatic entry, the reigning WSOP champ for both America and Europe get seats at the table, as well. That means that this year Mike Sexton, Barry Shulman, Joe Cada, Mike Matusow, and Annie Duke make up five out of the 27 players for the event.

TOC visitor Annie Duke feels that it is an honor to be part of tournaments, just like the TOC. She has been cited happily telling that winning the TOC was one moment in her poker career that she will never forget. She is just one of a few participants that are ecstatic about World Series Of Pokers involvement in hosting this event. Following the count of the votes and the announcement of the 20 participants that will move on, play will begin on June 27, 2010 at the Rio. Once it comes down to the final nine, they will be back on July 4, 2010 to try and claim their part of $1,000,000 and the 2010 World Series Of Poker Tournament of Champions Champion title.

People who do not make it this time are able to try again next year. Also, a final total of 57 sought-after gold bracelets are up for grabs this year, the same as last year. WSOP is the richest, biggest, and most exclusive gaming event. It has already granted over a billion dollars in prizes and bracelets, which is known worldwide as the sport’s top reward. If you’ve got the expertise, the time, and the poker face; why not try for your seat in the next World Series Of Poker tournament?

Online Holdem Poker Games

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

Online poker, which is the card game played on the Internet, has been rapidly increasing in popularity, and has introduced many more people to the game. Revenue from Internet poker was around 90 million in 2001 and had reached over 2 billion just 4 years later. The poker rooms and casinos where poker used to be played exclusively were always somewhat intimidating for novices, and they can be geographically far from many potential players, and it was hard for these venues to make much of a profit. Online poker sites are easily available to all, and allow players to pay for very low stakes. The overhead costs are much lower than for the brick and mortar venues. As a result, profits for companies such as PokerStars have been quite large.

A lot of online poker, along with most other types of online gambling, is illegal in the United States, and the law is enforced primarily by prohibiting gambling websites from conducting transactions with American banks and other US financial institutions. nevertheless, many Americans players have figured out ways to get around the prohibition and gamble online. Poker and other forms of online gambling is legal in many countries, such as the United Kingdom.

Most online holdem games, are among the most popular types of online poker games. When playing Texas Holdem, two cards are dealt to each player face down, and then the first bets are made or players fold their hand. Then three community cards are dealt face up, followed by more betting, and then two more face up cards are dealt one at a time, with more betting occurring each time. With seven cards being available to make the best five card hand, high value hands are common, and with players being able to see so many of the cards, the ability to time bets and bluff effectively is more important than with other poker games such as seven card stud, where most of the cards are hidden.

There are numerous varieties of poker holdem games. Holdem Limit and No Limit differ in that with No Limit, a player can wager all of his or her chips at any time. This is the game of holdem you usually see on TV and it can be very exciting when a player goes “all in”, risking all their chips. However, novices should try Holdem Limit, in which the amount you can bet in each round of betting is limited. Usually the limit is higher in later betting rounds, and you are limited to a certain amount of raises. The strategies you use in each game are very different.

With No Limit, much more bluffing is involved, while with Limit, you are playing the percentages a lot more. Holdem Pot Limit is a variation of Holdem Limit in which the maximum bet you can make is the size of the pot. The pot in this case is not just the amount of money in the middle that everyone has bet so far, but also the amount of the bets that have just been made plus the amount you must bet to call. For example, if the pot on the table is $50 and the two players before you have bet and called $10, then the amount you can raise is $50 plus $10 plus $10 plus your call of $10 or $80, and the total bet is $90, which is the amount of your raise plus your call.
