Learning the tips and tricks of how to play blackjack is a fairly easy exercise. If you can add to twenty-one, you will be able to play this game. Online sites are abundant and can provide hours of practice and fun. It is possibly one of the most recognized games in the world and is played by card novices and experts alike. The goal is always to beat the dealer’s hand.

When playing in a casino, it is sometimes possible to keep track of cards that have been played (called counting cards), giving you a slight edge when deciding if you should add more cards to your hand. This is called taking a “hit”. You must keep a running total of the sum for all the cards dealt to you in each hand. However, when playing online, this is not possible because each hand begins with a newly shuffled deck.

The whole point of taking a hit is to increase the sum total of your cards to edge nearer to twenty-one, but to not exceed it. If you do go over, it is called a “bust” and your bet is forfeited. Up until you bust, you may stop adding more cards at anytime. This is called a “stand”. You must then wait until your dealer has played to see if you win. The dealer always plays last.

To sum these cards, it is important to know that they take on the number displayed – a four of hearts counts as four. Face cards – jacks, queens, and kings – all count as ten. Aces are the wild card and the player makes the decision to assign them a value of one or eleven. The hand “blackjack” is reaching twenty-one with the initial two cards dealt. This means you will win, or “push” (meaning tie) if the dealer also hits the same. In a push, you keep your money, but do not win more.

The cards are dealt differently depending on where you play. Online they are dealt face down, and the only cards visible to you are yours and the dealer’s second card. This card must always be dealt up to allow all the players to plot their strategy.

Knowing the dealer’s up card, gives you only half the story. You should always assume the down card is a ten. Another advantage to players is knowing the dealer must hit any total under seventeen, and stand on seventeen or higher. This knowledge helps you decide whether or not you should take another hit.

It is somewhat easier to enjoy online because the site adds your cards for you as you play. This keeps you from math errors and makes it as bit more relaxing. Learning how to play blackjack is easy.

Presently you can learn how to play black jack fast and easy simply by striving free blackjack before playing for cash.

For some time Texas Hold’em has held its own as the most popular poker game of them all for beginners and experts alike. This is undoubtedly due to the ease of learning the game because of its simple rules. But the easy part stops here and the reason for its appeal to all levels of players becomes clear. The strategies in Texas Hold’em are so complex and sophisticated that it can take a player decades to conquer them, and maybe not even then. So for you newcomers just starting to learn and those of you are more than beginners looking to improve your skills, I offer this brief outline of the game’s central core.

Texas Hold’em Game Play format

There will be a maximum of ten players in the game. The dealer is usually the one who draws the highest card prior to the deal, but often the dealer is designated by the house. In any case, the dealer, also termed the button, is the last one to play. The first one to play is known as the small blind and is the player situated next to the dealer. The small blind player begins by anteing one-half of the limit amount. Next to him is the large blind, then the remaining players follow. The button has the best seat in the house as he is able to gather much information as to what is in his opponent’s hands by making careful observations of their raises, re-raises and lack of same.

The players are allowed to call, raise or fold on the ante bet to the extent of the limit in limit hold’em or through the roof in no-limit hold’em, unless the house puts a cap on re-raising limits of three per round, which is not uncommon. Also in no-limit the players can go all in which raises the bet to the limit of the player’s stash on hand. Pot-limit lets the players raise to the limit of the total cash in the pot.

Usually the player new to the game will start out with limit poker, then as he gains experience and expertise will move on to the no-limit games. Interestingly, should all players but one fold on a raise, that remaining player “wins blind” and takes the pot no matter what he is holding in his hand. Should this not be the case, the winner is the holder of the best 5-card hand assembled from his hole cards and the community cards. The rankings of the hands are as follows from highest to lowest: royal straight flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair, and a pair and a high card.

The Play of the Game

To begin the game the players are dealt two hole cards followed by the first round of betting and the flop. The flop is dealt face up and becomes part of the community cards. In any betting round the players have the option of folding, calling or raising up to the limit of whatever type of game it is. The best starting hand in Texas Hold’em is two aces, the worst is an unsuited 2-7.

Now that the flop has taken place, the next betting round occurs with the players now able to see the community cards as well as their own hand. And, as mentioned previously, the small blind goes first. The ensuing round will reveal the fourth (turn) card and finally the fifth (river) card is dealt. Best hand of five-cards at showdown takes the pot, considering that more than one player remains in the game.

Both the games of Omaha 8 and Omaha High-Low are the same, but however you find it, the game is peculiar in its split pot, i.e. the pot is divided between the player with the highest hand and the one with lowest. Should both the highest and lowest hands reside with one player, he gets the whole pot. This dual high and low winning hand form sets it apart from other variants and engenders some very different strategies as a player sets forth to enhance his betting odds to the highest level possible. Omaha calls for a single betting format and it is not a rarity for players to be actively seeking the highest or lowest or both hands along with all their opponents. Common to all poker types, the nuts (best hand) takes the pot.

As a beginner to Omaha 8, it will behoove you to watch many games to absorb the complex strategies involved. As in all poker games, the betting in Omaha 8 is an elaborate conglomeration of aggression, bluffing, and value betting and a comprehension of just how this amalgam of strategies is influenced by dual pots demands a clear understanding of what goes into making a winner. Your foremost efforts at learning Omaha 8 should be placed in a thorough study of the rules and then go on to join some beginner games and proceed on up the levels to master the possible game strategies. By the time you get to the really high levels with pot limit games, do not forget that high stakes mean multiple raises and high bets, so don’t go into one of these games empty handed. Make sure you are funded sufficiently to cover yourself for a long potentially expensive night at the tables.

Mechanics of Omaha 8 Play

Holdem and Omaha standard versions follow the same arrangement as Omaha 8 when it comes to declaring the highest hand. The low hand determining factors though are different The low hand in Omaha 8 must meet the following criteria:

The very name of Omaha 8 means that the low hand demands a player to play a card at or under the value of 8. And because the rules state that the players must play both of their hole cards, there must be in their hand two cards under this value to meet the criteria for the low hand.

If no hand meets the criteria for the low pot, the highest hand gets the whole thing which is similar to standard Omaha. The Ace through eight are the sole cards that can lend themselves to the winning low hand. Any card can meet the criteria for the high hand and a player can form hands of mixed high and low hands to own the entire pot.

You will usually find Omaha with standard pot limit rules, though limit and no limit are not totally out of the picture and can be found at some tables. One thing common to all Omaha 8 games is the split pots at high and low levels. This feature demands an in-depth understanding of what winning hands can be made up of and how this effects betting strategy.

It should always be in your mind as a player that a hand of three or four of a kind renders it almost impossible to win either end of the pot due to the two hole card rule, which leaves the player holding a pair at best. The epitome of a winning hand will consist of ace-two suited as this duo can produce several different high hand combinations while also being the one lowest ranked low pot taker. The ultimate low hand is called a wheel and includes A-2-3-4-5. At the top of hand supremacy is the Royal flush put together with three community cards.

Backgammon has been part of our lives since the early times. Although rules of the game were changed numerous times already, the excitement and fun feeling while playing remained the same. It was already popular in its time and with the introduction of internet in the world, backgammon has become popular than ever before.

With the introduction of the internet and online communications, backgammon advanced into a more interesting and more interactive board game. Technology made it almost real and 3D animations replaced the flat image of former backgammon. Many children and children at heart today have their own PC so connecting to online games is not a problem.

If not for technology advancement and continuous support of many in board games, backgammon won’t reach where it is now. But why is it that many are into playing backgammon? One of the main reasons is that it can provide an interactive game. You can play with other players on other countries without going abroad or even getting out of your chair. You can meet other people and share ideas and methods online. That way, you can get tips even form the best players in the world.

Other than playing with other players, you can also play versus an AI or artificial intelligence to test and enhance your skills. You can choose from novice to expert levels depending on how difficult you want to play the game. It will surely be as fun as playing with other players.

So for those who are internet savvy and board game enthusiasts, you can consider downloading your own backgammon software and start battling players on the other side of the world. You can even join world tournaments. Besides, you might be the next champion in the world of online backgammon.

The 5 best casino games to play vary sharply from player to player. With the abundance of casino games to choose from in online casino play, any player is sure to find a handful of games that interest him or her most. Casino games offer a protean array of experiences, ranging from the pleasure to the profit, from the lucky runs to the overly brilliant strategic plays.

By what standards is one to judge the best casino games to play online then? There are plenty, and some that easily come to mind are: fun factor, technical precision, ease of learning, presence of profitable strategies, and past experiences playing that game. All reasons, however, boil down to two most general, all-embracing reasons: skill and luck.

Some players look for gambling that requires skill, like poker, blackjack, and bridge; they find their thrill in winning because they are smart they know they are smart, and they profit either by analyzing the odds and knowing when to stop playing, or by exploiting the inexperience or bad play of others.

Other players look for gambling where luck is the main determinant of an outcome. These players thrive on uncertainty and play for all the fun, laughs, and adrenaline that games of chance offer. They derive their joy most of all from jackpots (large winnings) or lucky consecutive winning streaks. Many games, like poker, require a fine mixture of skill and luck to get maximum pleasure from playing.

After recalling and analyzing casino games which have a healthy balance of skill and luck, here is a brief top 5 list:

(1) Slot machines – The ubiquitous slot machines found in nearly all live casinos can also be played online. The thrill gained by seeing coins pop out from the slot machine dispenser is compounded many times in online play, because players can click and click to their limitless satisfaction. Meanwhile, if players go on a good run, the trickles heard in live play will be represented by the tantalizing graphics of the growing cash prize, soothing to the eyes as well as to the bankroll.

(2) Blackjack – Who could ever forget the movie “21″ about enterprising blackjack players who aim to beat the odds in as much as their willpower and their craftiness would allow? In live play, that is hard to do, because of the suspicious stares and the unruly treatment every card counter gets. Not so in online blackjack – card counters could card-count all the way to victory. Play is also faster online; this makes it a fun game for thrill-seekers as well.

(3) Roulette – The roulette wheel is an unforgettable fixture at every casino, live or online. With many possible betting options in roulette, the game is fit for all types of gamblers, like those who want just the fun of doubling their stake, or those who engage their hard-earned money on sophisticated strategies.

(4) Craps – The quintessential dice game, it is easy to learn and simple to play. Long-time craps players have many anecdotes of times when it seemed that their fountain of luck never ran out. Online, because game is faster, the ecstasy felt during a deep run in craps could approach myriad levels.

(5) Poker – This has been mentioned already twice, for good reason. While there are sites that offer poker along with other games, there are sites that offer poker exclusively. That is because poker has boomed from a free-spirited rounders’ game, to what could arguably be the largest gambling population in the most famous casino game of all. High-stakes poker games are televised. Many poker players have attained celebrity status. With many varieties to choose from, hundreds of strategies available, thousands of imaginable situations, and plenty of pop culture references, poker could be declared the best game of mixed skill and chance ever played by our generation, live as well as online.

As you begin your journey to casino success, we wish you lots of fun and grace once you begin clicking online for the 5 best casino games to play.

Long-time hardened gamblers, experienced players, and first-time aspiring novices alike are likely to have highly contrasting and deeply ingrained opinions regarding the 5 best card games played at online casinos. Each type of player has a unique character that fits them to some card games better than to others. Some play ostensibly to profit, no matter how small, through dint of skill and mastery; others play in order to finally reach that ‘nirvana’ state of luck they have dreamed of the first time they set their feet inside the casino. Some play in order to pass the time; others play because of the social nature of the game.

A good card game should have many or all of these characteristics that casino-goers look for at the gaming tables. Based on experience and knowledge, here is a list of the 5 best card games to ever grace casinos, giving a roller-coaster sort of fun to all gamblers, rocks, rounders, players, and to every other classification of avid casino gamers.

(1) Baccarat – This game, originating from France, is a famous card game, known to casinos all over the world, with a simple objective – to get a two or three card hand whose sum is closer to 9 than the banker’s card sum is. All paint cards (King, Queen, Jack) and the Ten is worth 0 points; an Ace is worth 1 point. The sum is obtained by adding all card values and then dropping the tens digit if the sum is a two-digit number. If you are a player (the opponent of the banker), sufficient knowledge of probability theory may give you an advantage. If you are not a player but a bettor, you have three betting options: Banco (a bet in favor of the banker); Punto (a bet in favor of the player); a tie; or two or all of them at the same time in a single bet. Ironically, the game’s name is also the name of the worst hand in baccarat – a sum of 0.

V:6

(2) Bridge – An overly complicated game, it is a popular casino game as well as a parlor game. The game is played by players in pairs. Bridge is difficult to explain at first; in fact, the best way to learn bridge is to join someone in a bridge session. Nevertheless, here is one striking difference between bridge and almost all other card games: Spades exceed hearts exceed diamonds exceed clubs. In other games, suits are never ranked.

(3) Video poker – It’s just you against the machine. Try to find out the regular behaviour of the different machines, then formulate an optimal strategy that will help you win in the long run. There are thousands of people that will spend hours on this incredibly popular game. This helps Video poker onto out list of best card games.

V:5

(4) Blackjack – The repository of such snappy terms as ‘stand’, ‘hit’, and ‘card counting’, blackjack continues to be one of the most played card games. The game befits the mathematically oriented best; one mathematics professor, Edward Thorp, has written a seminal book, “Beat the Dealer”, where he propounds a system that could turn all blackjack odds in your favor. The system, when tried, was so successful that casinos were compelled to change their rules. The objective of blackjack is to get a hand where the sum of the card values is higher than the dealer’s, but not exceeding 21. Players make various choices at their advantage, such as ‘surrender’, ‘hit’, ‘stand’, ‘double down’, or ‘split’ a pair.

V:4

Lastly, here is the best card game of all time, and many other players, spectators, or just casual laypeople will agree:

(5) Poker – Poker is undisputedly the greatest card game played today. Several events have converged to make poker the most played card game. Many forms of poker have been played in cardrooms since the beginning of the 20th century, but it was the publication of “Super System”, the best-selling poker book of all time, by Doyle Brunson in 1979, that first espoused the still-controversial idea that poker is a game of skill, and that idea gave future players the hope that they, too, could beat the game, if only they could strategize intelligently. During 1971, the World Series of Poker, the world’s premier poker tournament, was first held. From 6 participants in the 1971 Main Event, it has expanded to a field of 7319 and a prize pool of $68,798,600 during the last 2010 Main Event alone. During that World Series, there were 57 events total, one of which is the Main Event.

Poker appeals to the psychologically superb and the mathematically mighty alike. It comes in different variants: Texas Hold’Em (the most well-known), Omaha, Razz, High-Low Split, Seven-Card Stud, and many others. The multiplicity of poker variants and poker personalities led to the proliferation of thousands of books on poker alone, where in Doyle Brunson’s time, there are hardly any books on the whole field of gambling. Each different game gives players of differing creeds, races, and beliefs a unique, fulfilling experience. As long as new generations of players continue to rise to the test – in fact many new casino players tend to favour poker over other card games – poker is going to remain steady among the 5 best card games of all time.

In trying to decide how to approach poker, consider the pluses and minuses of certain games as opposed to others. Limit Holdem used to be the single most popular game on the net. There are still many low and medium limit games being played as well as games as big as $100/$200 games. The game remains one of the most easily accessible and probably remains one of the most prospective in terms of profits, and is likely to remain so for some time to come, especially since not many players rise to the levels of $20/$40.

This, in turn, means that if you are determined to try a profitable looking popular game, Limit Holdem will probably be your best choice. It has been the choice of many before you, and will likely be the choice of many after you.

A significant plus of Limit Holdem is the amount of literature devoted to it. Many of the modern books on poker in general are devoted to limit games. It is one of the most studied games and it is possible that a diligent student may learn much from the published material. In this respect, decisions may be simpler to make in Limit Holdem.

These advantages of accessibility and the copious available literature surrounding limit hold’em means that there are a lot of skillful players in the game. This fact can unfortunately make the game less profitable for the average player. The average player can expect enjoyment of the game but no profits.

If you would like to avoid this dismal fate, there are several very specific questions you can ask yourself in order to determine which game is best for you. Poker is a game of chance, a game of skill and creativity, and it is a game of risk and self control. Determine as precisely as you can how prone you are to taking risks and how well you are able to control yourself in such situations: that is, whether the risks you take are impulsive and uncalculated (.i.e. a disaster in poker terms), or whether you are the type who likes to take calculated risks designed to win as well as to thrill.

Once you have decided your risk level and there are special tests to determine this, you can go for the game that fits your style. If you are the one who acts solely on impulse, the slot machines are where you should invest your time and money. If you want to avoid risk altogether, you should be at a limit table with betting levels proportionate to your comfort zone with regard to risk.

Rigid logic is not the same as psychological insight. If you think that you like to have things under control as much as possible, decide whether you are best at calculating the best card combination in relation to every other combination that has been played so far in the three-hour long game, or whether you make your best moves by reading your opponents’ current hands and tells by observing their expressions and body language. For the latter type of player, no-limit and MTT poker is probably best.

Of note, the psychologist has the best chance of becoming an all around expert player. High-limit games are hard to find, if not impossible. High risk is not profitable in the end. In conclusion, no-limit and tournament poker are both the most accessible and complex of poker challenges and provide the most suitable environs for the aspiring beginner.

The author is a successful limit cash game player. He plays poker online and receives Fortune Rakeback and Interpoker Rakeback.

Choice seems to be the order of the day when looking for a poker offer, and adding to the complication of narrowing down that choice is the introduction of rakeback. Many of the bonus and rakeback sites offer marketing positions designed to gain you as a client, and its important for you to calmly determine the site that works best for your game.

There are countless rake back providers online today, all advertising their services aggressively. Before signing up based on impulse, consider the long run return from working with a given poker site partner, including your comfort with their business practices, communication and customer service. There are multiple factors when it comes to identifying the ideal rakeback solution for your needs:

1. Identify the Poker Site Where You Want to Play

The first step when selecting a rakeback provider is to identify which poker site you want to sign-up with. Keep in mind only sites where you don’t have existing accounts are eligible for rakeback, so limit your search to new sites. While rakeback will provide a rebate to help you move toward profitable play, make sure the site has the right selection of table games, competition, volume and software that meets you needs – rake rebates should be a bonus on top of enjoyable, profitable play at top sites such as Full Tilt, Absolute Poker, or Ultimate Bet.

2. Finding a Reputable Rakeback Provider

Before signing up for a new rakeback offer, make sure that the site partner is reputable and offers regular payments according to terms. The largest rakeback partners have a track record of regular payouts, quality customer service and automated tracking. Generally, poker sites work with selected partners to offer the rebates, and you can identify reputable sites on the basis of online reviews, customer testimonials and by checking the offer with the site.

Be careful about accepting offers that are offering returns much higher than traditional rakeback sites. These offers often come from rogue affiliates whose sole aim is to gain new customers, but don’t follow up with the future payments as promised. Rather that chasing after risky deals, checkout only trusted rakeback sites before making the decision to sign up with a provider. Speak with players who have had good rakeback experiences in your quest to identify quality rakeback sites.

3. Going for the Highest Rakeback Percentage

Once you have chosen your best fit site and a group of providers, you can look at the percentage of rebate offered. Many sites cap rebates to partners, which means there will be no difference in the money offered. If that’s the case you should work with the racetrack providers offering the best communications and the most features. Reputation should also be a major factor in this case. A quick with customer service should help you understand their methods.

In other cases, however, different rakeback providers will offer different levels of discount. This provides you a real choice between the offers. Obviously a higher percentage of rebate means more cash in your pocket, but also consider the frequency of the payments. More frequent rebates can fatten your bankroll when you need it most, putting you in a better position to accomplish your goal.

Following is an analysis of the pros and cons of one of the variations of poker that may be helpful to you. Once upon a time, Limit Hold’em was the most played online poker game. There remain on the net many low and medium limit games in the poker rooms, and a few with a $100/$200 limit. It continues to be the easiest game to find and is a sure bet to continue on that path as only a few players are able to rise to the $20/$40 level.

There is a plethora of literature available devoted entirely to the game of Limit Hold’em poker. This is a major advantage as even the novice player can avail himself of these books while experiencing actual play and if he is a good student will gain much knowledge of the game. This abounding literature allows decisions to be made more easily and most of those decisions can be explained with basic mathematics and become a tool for instantaneous in-game mental calculations.

The mathematical phenomenon of dispersion becomes less of a factor in limit games. Thus enabling even the rookiest of rookies with the worst cards at the table to occasionally be saved by dumb luck. For a dramatic reference to the particulars of dispersion, read Terry Pratchett’s Rincewind novels.

As a rule, any and all poker games are subject to the mathematical phenomenon of statistical dispersion, i.e. major losses are part of even the most expert player’s game, and it is this fact that stops folks from indulging in any game of poker. Limit poker is not as mentally intense as no-limit and tournament games, which involve high dispersion. You don’t need a lot of funding to play Limit Hold’em and like the large quantity of literature on the subject , there are computer programs specifically designed for limit poker – Poker Tracker and Poker Office will help low limit players especially. These programs can be used both during the game and after whenever an analysis of any part of the game is called for or to make statistical calculations.

The above advantages lead to one of the few disadvantages of limit poker. There is an ever enlarging pool of experienced, knowledgeable opponents. So while the game is highly accessible, it is becoming less profitable. Non-virtual poker venues make their money chiefly from the rather small rake reducing the pot during every round. These rooms depend on their profits not from the number of players they attract. What keeps them running is at the end of a series of games, the percentage from the total hands played may make their income rise to amazing sums. The limit games that include expert players may be not only less profitable but may actually result in a loss.

Finally, limit holdem is not widespread offline, offers little exposure to the nonvirtual outside world, and lacks the aspects which make casino and club games so rich in important and memorable experience. Certainly, those who love the game find most memorable that which is the essence of poker – the combinations of cards; but just like talking face to face to a company of people is more memorable than chanting to a hundred “friends” in ICQ, so playing poker at an actual table of wood (rather than of 1024768 pixels) you can actually knock on (makes a nice bluff) makes for a more intense and exciting experience.

Why is that many serious players of the game of poker want to project a stoic persona? Could they be trying to hide their tells by emitting a somber, almost zombie-like presence? They come off as moody and sinister behind those dark glasses and hooded sweatshirts, like maybe they have holsters and a lightning draw ala Wyatt Earp. Do they know how they appear to others, do they care?

There has got to be some kind of method to their madness. Undoubtedly some of them think they can confuse and deflate opponents by their intimidation and arrogance, thereby, discouraging them from any sound play against them. Theirs is a sullen, bullying persona, which may be the only one they have the imagination to pull off. Some of them may actually be that dark, insolent person, but I rather think that they are hiding behind a lack of creativity.

If you have not carefully considered the actual benefits of your image, I am not sure how effective the bully persona finally is. Even if somewhat an effective deterrent – and it is likely to work on somebody; which, however, is not a guarantee of overall effectiveness – in the end it is most likely to attract the kind of opponents you would rather have avoided in the first place. It is like setting a decoy vulture, instead of a decoy duck, and attracting more unwanted vultures rather than the desired game.

It the first place, it may attract the rare professional player who is actually naturally moody and dark to an extent which may intimidate you. After a few such uncomfortable encounters you may find it difficult to get rid of these grim reapers who – with cynical glee – sense in you the weaker prey and grimly reap the rewards. Subsequent games might then grow unnecessarily complicated by your suspicions of how serious some of the sulky opponents at the table actually are.

If the sullen, serious type isn’t really you, you are spending way too much time on your phony image and not enough on your cards. It is almost impossible to play several rounds of poker with an impassive faade. While you do need a special poker persona to strategically manipulate situations to your advantage, it should be one that is comfortable for you, not one which takes a lot of concentration to maintain. Your concentration should be focused on reading your opponents personae and the cards that are dealt.

It is probably not a good idea to be completely natural at the poker table, a friendlier, more outgoing image will result in greater enjoyment of the game for you and everyone else. If you are not naturally a gregarious individual, practice being more so.

Don’t even try to keep up an image that is totally at odds with who you really are. You will not reach your full potential this way, since you are locked into an uncomfortable position. Save your energy for the cards and observation of those personae around you and how they play the game.

So, big shades and big hats and appearing like a bandit with a fast draw only seems to require less effort than developing a persona that is closer to the true you. If you are a professional player, you will spend time observing yourself and envision the player you wish to become. In time you will be this player and have more luck at the table.

If you observe the action around a Texas Hold'em table in Las Vegas you will frequently notice that some players are re-depositing funds not cashing out.

If you observe the action around a Texas Hold’em table in Las Vegas you will frequently notice that some players are re-depositing funds not cashing out. Different skill levels are at play here and have some some effect on the distribution issue, but it is also important to be aware of the role the rake plays here. Rake is what is claimed by the house – represented as a percentage of the pot, and it can grow substantially.

A fixed commission from each winning pot is usually assessed by the house, along with a slidingh scale of rake up to a capped level. The house take continues to grow as the game progresses around the table. Because of this factor there is a gap between break even play and break even return. Unilizing a combination of rakeback coupled with improved play can move a scratch player from a scratch to a +EV player.

Just like the traditional “comps” systems at real world poker rooms, online poker rooms offer rakeback as a loyalty bonus for their players. The system is simple – the site automatically tracks your contribution to the rake in each pot, and those amounts can add up over time. By signing up through a rakeback site, you get a percentage of these fees back as rebates on a regular basis directly to your account or as a bonus. Generally, rakeback requires you to sign up with a partner in order to qualify for the rakeback bonuses. Importantly, while a player may not be able to qualify for the highest initial deposit bonuses, you can qualify for a variety of reload bonuses which can further reduce your rake rate over time.

Because the tracking is automated, you can usually check your rakeback on a real-time or daily basis giving you a better understanding of your continuing progress. Solid rakeback structures can be instrumental in assisting you in being a profitable player in less time and accelerating your poker earnings.

How Rebates are Earned Through Rakeback Programs

With the right signup structure the player can play the poker room and table of choice and still earn rakeback. While traditional bonuses tend to restrict play, rakeback rebates are based on the player’s monthly gross revenue (MGR) to the poker room. The result is players are able to play any type of game from stud to Omaha to Hold’em and in some cases even tournament play, all with strong returns.

Rakeback sets up a win-win for the player and the poker room. The poker rooms are providing rebates based on the revenue you generate for their tables the rebates in turn encourage site loyalty from the player. In its simplest form, rakeback represents a discount on the cost of playing online poker. Those players who count online tables as a source of income rakeback permits you to maximize overall returns.

Rakeback provides rebates on a set schedule, generally weekly or monthly, although some sites offer rebates on a more regular basis. For high volume players, special rakeback rates are available, further putting you in better position to become a +EV player and start bring home some real money from your poker experiences.

A very clever Soviet satire is written about a con artist set out to win a bunch of money from a small town chess club. He convinces the avid members that he is a traveling master of the game and wishes to organize a tournament for the assembled group. He, of course, charges an entrance fee from all the players and proceeds to play “twelve identical matches” without a clue as to what he is doing. This is the second chess match he has ever played, but he manages to place the pieces somewhat correctly and makes his moves to the awe of those surrounding the board. Like lots of folks when in the presence of greatness, they read a lot into the moves and pay close attention. Soon after beginning the games, he loses all of them but still keeps his sense of humor. The town is utterly amazed, but by then he has had the required time to run off with the entry fees. So, our traveling maestro may be a lousy player, but he is a winning one.

The novel is The Twelve Chairs of which there are both English translations and film adaptation DVDs actually available from Amazon.com. The first film adaptation of the book was actually a Mel Brooks comedy, which is a loose adaptation, recommended only for Brooks fans. The best Russian adaptation is the 1976 mini-series by Mark Zaharov, one of the greatest Russian directors of all time, though he may not sound as familiar as Tarkovsky.

The point is that the definition of a good player, in poker or otherwise, depends on what that player’s purpose is. As far the fictional con artist was concerned, he was an effective player since his strategy precisely achieved his goals – quick money. It is a subtler point, however, that he was a good player also because he knew he couldn’t play solid chess for more than the first five or so moves and because he prepared an escape route.

Now, a surprisingly large amount of poker players are reluctant to admit their less than average abilities. Ego is often central with poker players, it seems, perhaps because of the peculiar aura around the game. How they fail to realize that poker is a complex game one spends a lifetime learning is something of a marvel, but these pros-in-denial are exactly what makes poker a profitable game for the serious and talented players.

Some players play the game by rote and come out winners in the long run. They do not see the game as an ever-enlightening process of learning and growing. But they do win and if that is their purpose for playing the game, then they are good poker players.

For those players to whom poker is an art, the above types are not true poker players, not really bad, just not real. They are in the clubs but are not the stars. The good player is looking for growth and more and more insight to improve his already good game. He or she understands that the game is a complicated mix of skill, theater, and perception. They know their weaknesses and work hard on improving their good points while lessening their bad ones.

You can play short handed Texas Hold Em properly, or incorrectly, you choose. These tips will help you do it the right way. Read this article now to learn them.

It doesn’t matter if you have previously lost a lot of money playing short handed Texas Hold Em. Maybe you tried it and lost some cash, or you have gotten to the final table in a tournament but bummed out when the table started to get short. It’s ok, because now you can learn how to play short handed properly and never make those mistakes again.

How To Play Short Handed Texas Hold Em Properly Tip #1

The first most important thing to realize about short tables is you have to play a lot looser. Recently one of my newsletter readers asked me how he can win at short tables, as he only even seems to get moderately good cards and isn’t getting anything fantastic.

Well, that’s just it, you won’t get fantastic cards. You have to loosen up quite and bit and start making the most of anything you can.

How To Play Short Handed Texas Hold Em Properly Tip #2

The second thing is to realize that short play is massively effected by stack sizes. That’s why if you can get to the final table of a tournament with a big stack you can pretty much win – it’s how the last WSOP winner on. He doubled up a few times and was at the final table with a stack 5 times bigger than number 2.

Stack sizes, betting, bullying, pressuring, targeting; it’s all ruthless play at a short handed table. If you are short-stacked you don’t have much luck. Make sure you’re making the most of your chips.

How To Play Short Handed Texas Hold Em Properly Tip #3

The third this is psychology. Cards and stack size aside, psychology and psychological tactics are more important than any other time.

You can win hands with nothing just by being brazen. You can defend yourself no matter what if you dupe your opponent with mind tricks. Failing to realize the invisible play at a short table is a recipe for disaster.

These Texas Holdem Poker tips will quickly catapult your success and profits at the poker table. Don’t miss out. Read this article now to learn them.

Previously I used to struggle, hand after hand, round after round. Then I learnt these Texas Holdem Poker tips and they absolutely catapulted my success. I started to use them in every game, every hand, and every bet and I reaped the rewards. Now you can too.

Texas Holdem Poker Tips To Catapult Your Success #1

The first and best tip you can ever learn is this. Stop focusing on strategies and tactics and start focusing on skills and abilities.

When you work on a strategy, a tactic, a ‘way’ to win it’s like finding a cheat sheet, or a secret code to unlock money from poker. However, it only works in special situations and if that situation doesn’t happen to occur you will lose money.

Skills and abilities on the other hand are transferrable. They work in almost any situation. And they enable you to further advance on and utilize whatever strategy/tactic you are using for the sitation.

Texas Holdem Poker Tips To Catapult Your Success #2

The second tip is to stop with all the probability junk, stop the ABC Texas Holdem poker strategies, stop worrying about all the cards and the flops and all of that junk. Instead, start paying attention to the betting and the players.

You will absolutely get a massive amount of success by focusing on the betting of the game. When you play to stack sizes, aggression, player demeanor etc you can exploit the hidden parts of poker and make money no matter what cards you have.

Texas Holdem Poker Tips To Catapult Your Success #3

The third tip that will catapult your success is to spend less time player. What? Yes I’m serious, spend less time playing and more time learning how to play.

Practice is extremely important. You need hours and hours of practice, don’t get me wrong. But if you are practicing the wrong thing that time is really just going to waste. Spend more time reading, learning, researching etc so that when you do practice you are getting much more return on your investment of time.

It seems that whenever a game is featured in the World Series of Poker, it gains quite a following and so it goes with Razz poker. It is becoming popular though not for just this reason, it also contains some very unusual and interesting play mechanics. Stripped down to its skivvies, Razz is the same as ace-low stud poker as the goal in each game is to obtain the lowest possible hand, a suited ace through five. HORSE includes it as one of its mixed game play components and Razz has been known to present some real challenges to the beginning player. This primer is intended to inform the new player of the nuts and bolts of Razz game play and to introduce them to the strategies to start them on the way to success.

The Workings of Razz

As stated earlier, Razz is akin to low-hand seven card stud and is played with a maximum of eight players with a limit betting structure. The game starts with a deal of three cards, two face up, one face down to each player followed by a betting round led by the player with the highest card. In a tie, the suit is the tie breaker. Another face-up card is dealt and the player with the lowest hand leads the next betting round. The rounds continue until each player is dealt the fifth card and from here on the bets are doubled. After the final card is dealt face down, the play commences with the player who led off the sixth round, if he hasn’t previously folded. If such is the case, the play begins with the second player in the sixth round, and on it goes.

The Best Razz Strategy

An unsuited ace, two, three would be the lowest possible starting hand in Razz and a sensible strategy would be for the players with low, single cards below ten to remain in the game to the next round. A player with any hand of single cards below seven has a strong hand and an all out aggressive strategy is a good option should the other players be showing a weaker one. If the holder of the seven-high hand sees that the lowest face up card on the table is a ten, his odds at the pot are very high and he should proceed to value bet.

You must closely observe the face up cards so you can continuously update your odds of attaining a pair ( bad sign), or single cards, (good sign). . Your table position can give you an edge in betting when you see that your opponent’s visible cards are either low or high. A sound strategy would be to bet for value even in the event that you draw on the fourth street. You can still improve your odds at the pot due to your strong hand at onset, you may even draw to a lower hand. Always play your low hands with contention. If you find yourself with opponents also drawing to lower hands, don’t hold back, get them to up their bets so your pot will be enriched in the end.

With the understanding that Razz demands a thorough knowledge of its tactics and strategies, you will also know when to cut your losses and fold. You are most probably vying against players with a lower starting hand, so don’t hold out hopes of drawing to a low one yourself. Then again, if you are in the catbird position at the table, you can use that to get your opponents to enhance the value of the pot before they fold their marginal hands and give that rich pot to you.

Titan Poker has become an industry giant and is taking great strides toward proving itself to be the premier poker gaming experience of all the casinos in the business. Titan Poker’s software is designed, built and kept up to date by PlayTech, another worldwide giant in both the live and online casino gaming milieus. The company is a part of the Ipoker Network and is the networks largest poker room. There is not just poker here but many casino gambling games as well so everybody can get with the action on Titan Poker. The company partners with other companies like EuroPartners making it clear that this is a poker room that intends to distinguish itself from the crowd.

The software is panel, radio box and button based and downloads rapidly and anyone can familiarize themselves with the application with no trouble at all. A foremost feature of the application is its multi-tabling ability where a player can play up to 16 tables at once, making this THE place to be for hardcore poker fanatics. A new ticker and promotions window is also present on the site so players will never miss out on any of the action at Titan Poker.

The casino buttons are smack dab in the middle of the interface enabling ease of navigation around all the features of the site. There is an oddly fascinating thing in that part of the table selections have buttons so one can discern between European Tables and what they refer to as World tables. There are awesome buttons in the quick search and software help buttons so the company has made certain that all players are contented and comfortable in learning about and finding the games they want to play.

For the cash game aficionado there is No limit holdem with all limits and all ilks such as full ring, six max and heads up. Some alternative games include Omaha and stud. Another thing you find here that you won’t find anywhere else is that the software displays total numbers of three of the most important game tracking classifications in tables, players and tournaments. One can easily determine the traffic flow throughout the site whenever the mood strikes them. These number can be viewed at the top right of the interface and generally come in at around 15,000 players, 2,000 tables and 1,000 tournaments.

The blinds in the ring games start at E.01/.02 and climb the ladder to E50/100. There are tons of awesome tournaments as well on the site. Do not miss the promotions tab on the homepage where underneath it you will discover an item called My Speedy Alert, where upon downloading to your desktop, you can check out the tournaments currently running and never miss out on the big one. Tournament buy ins are from $.50 to a high of $500. The featured tournaments are the likes of the ECPT, Irish Open, Les A. London, World Challenge and European Deepstack so there is much to look forward to in this area and many rewards to be reaped.

You may have heard of the much ballyhooed Club Titan as being the World’s Most Rewarding Online Poker VIP club, and the claims are justifiable as the benefits forthcoming are tremendous. Just two of the benefits are the bad beat and top hand bonuses. The Dirty Dozen sit-n-go jackpot is another one and a fantastic way to pick up an extra quick 2,000 bucks. Then there is the Fort Knox $50,000 sit-n-go jackpot that operates similarly to the Dirty Dozen but the payoff is obviously greater. The tons of freerolls and awesome prizes keep players on the site and coming back again and again to see what’s up at Titan Poker.

Titan Poker offers support by phone, live chat and email and is there for the players 24 hours a day. Under the name of casino group, Titan Poker employs a GoDaddy.com Turbo SSL certificate and goes to great lengths to ensure the comfort and safety of its customers. Titan Poker has teamed up with such partners as Technical Systems Testing Certified Inc. and GambleAware to provide all the tender loving care and protection a player could ask for.

When you play on Titan Poker you are in the company of such giants as Adam York, Andreas Schmidt and Fabien Carliez making the site a force majeure in the gaming industry. Come play with the giants and become one yourself at Titan Poker.
